English II is designed to improve students' communication skills in the English language through reading and writing and to familiarize them with important literary works. This class reflects and represents the Missouri Learning Standards through a variety of methods such as word analysis and vocabulary, reading and comprehension, literary response and analysis, various writing strategies and applications, grammar practice, mechanics of writing, and listening and speaking activities and projects. The instructional methods used in this class are designed to reach the multiple learning styles of students.
